A racy second wine with blackberry, blueberry and chocolate aromas and flavors. Full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. 50% merlot, 40% cabernet franc and 10% cabernet sauvignon.

The 2015 Le Carillon d'Angelus is a blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a perfumed, marine-tinged bouquet, the lifted cassis fruit tinged with seaweed. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannin, very well-judged acidity and very harmonious. It is not a Carillon of enormous depth and therefore, it will drink 2-3 years after bottling, but it does have class and would probably show up many other Saint Emilion grand crus.
